We are a fellowship of Christians whose aim is worship, know, and make known Jesus Christ to the glory of God. When the New Testament church was birthed, the Bible says that the believers “… continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42). As a church, we seek to know Jesus Christ and devote ourselves to the traditions that are patterned in the Bible (2 Thessalonians 2:15).
The local church is of utmost importance in the life of a Christian. After all, the whole New Testament (especially the epistles) are written under the assumption that Christians are committed to a local church. It is through the church that we are commanded to love each other as Christ loved us (John 13:34). Jesus also gave the command to “make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28:19-20).
In our typical Sunday gathering, we pray, sing, exhort each other, preach the word of God, and partake of the Lord’s supper. We seek to keep our gatherings simple and focused on the Lord Jesus. We sing a mixture from old hymns to contemporary songs that are rooted in sound doctrine. The sermons that are preached are rooted in the Bible, expositional, doctrinal, and practical. We also take the Lord’s supper every week as a celebration of Jesus’ death and resurrection.
We have a weekly Bible study on Wednesday and prayer meetings on Friday and Sunday before we begin singing. Whether your a Christian looking for a church or in town for a visit, or your not a christian wondering about Christianity, we would love for you come visit!
